Brent G. Siegel

Brent G. Siegel has been Board Certified by the Florida Bar Association since 1998 in recognition of his experience and expertise in the area of business litigation. Of the approximately 87,000 members of the Florida Bar Association, barely more than 200 have achieved such distinction. Mr. Siegel is also a Certified Mediator. He received his B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1978, and both his Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and his Juris Doctor degrees from the University Florida in 1982. While focusing his practice on business and civil litigation matters, Mr. Siegel also calls upon his experience in this field to counsel in business and contractual negotiation issues.  Mr. Siegel also handles significant personal injury and wrongful death cases.

An active member of the community, Mr. Siegel is, or has been, involved in numerous charitable organizations, having served on the boards of directors of several of those organizations. In addition to his charitable activities, he is also a leading member of the local business community, having co-founded a state-chartered F.D.I.C. insured bank in 1998, where he served on the Board of Directors until that entity was acquired by a major international banking institution in 2008.

Mr. Siegel is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, where he has served as a member of the Bench-Bar Committee (1991-1998), and as a member of the Grievance Committee (1989-1991, 1994-1997 and 2007-2009), chairing that committee in 1991, 1997 and 2009. Mr. Siegel also has an “AV” rating, the highest rating available from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.

In his time away from the office, Mr. Siegel enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, attending University of Florida sporting events, and salt-water fishing.
